If I’m Lucky…

What started out for me as a practice purely for the sake of stretching and savasana has uncovered deeper and deeper meaning for me over the last two decades.

Yoga has seen me from my college years to my mid thirties.
From early adulthood to motherhood.
Through seasons of commitment and devotion to confusion and near abandonment.

I, too, have witnessed yoga through different lenses.
From an impenetrable approach to wellbeing, to a commercialized paradigm that can lean dogmatic.
As my understanding collects more layers, I find myself more and more anchored in simplicity.

The body is brilliant.
Yours, mine, all of ours.
Taking care of the body is a sacred pursuit.

While there’s no single prescription, program, or perspective, and the path is rarely linear…
We can devote ourselves to the pursuit and uncover our own learning.

Speaking the language of the body (movement) in more nuanced, subtle ways is the foundation for me.
It’s how I communicate with and attune to my body’s brilliance.

If I’m lucky, I’ll spend the next two decades trying to become fluent.
